Her philosophy is simple - the most beautiful homes are those that truly capture the essence of the people who live there.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve been inspired by the way design can make life both easier and more beautiful. I love how nature influences design, how an aircraft takes shape from a bird, or turbine blades are modelled after a whale’s fin. This fascination with biomimicry continues to shape how I see the world and my work.
Born and raised in India, I was immersed in diverse architectural styles and rich palettes of colour from an early age. My travels, relocation across countries, and experiences of many different homes have given me an innate sense of adaptability, resourcefulness, and a natural instinct for finding solutions, however unfamiliar my surroundings may be.
I’m equally drawn to architecture and history, which inspire me to create interiors that balance timelessness with individuality.
Through Designier, my goal is to make interior design approachable. Being thoughtful, creative, and authentic, while delivering the seamless processes, trusted partnerships, and fresh ideas that make every project feel effortless.

What's in a name?
The name Designiér was born of Ruchika's own natural wordplay- a way of describing something as more artfully designed, in the same spirit as saying 'loveliér', 'classiér' or 'homeliér'.
As the idea developed, the French influence was not lost on Ruchika, evoking words like atelier, or espalier, and the name evolved its pronunciation to capture that essence - Design | ee | ay.
For Ruchika, Designiér is more than a name- it's a guiding philosophy at the heart of her business. It epitomises the concept of 'more'. Thoughtful design with more intention in every detail, more beauty in the everyday, and more harmony between your home's aesthetic and how it lives and breathes. A home that feels much more than just designed, it feels DESIGNIÉR.
